Nick Dyson: Community Life Pastor

Nick Dyson came to Turningpoint in October of 2015, and then joined the staff as the Community Life Pastor in January of 2016. His role includes the oversight of the youth ministry, connections & communications, missions, and small groups. He grew up in the Loveland area, attended the University of Cincinnati for his Bachelors degree and then Biola University in California where he received his Masters degree in Intercultural Studies. Nick has over 10 years of employed youth ministry experience in a combination of Ohio and California, as well as having spent a year serving in the Southeast Asian country of Laos teaching English as a second language and sharing “the reason for the hope that we have” (1 Peter 3:15). Nick has seen the story of redemption weaved throughout his life many times, and thus has a passion to show young people redemption and relationally equip them through the adventure of discipleship to become redeemers around the world.

Nick enjoys skiing & snowboarding (which is WONDERFUL in the mountainous state of Ohio), camping, hiking, and most outdoor activities. He also runs a few times a week, but this is less because he enjoys it and more so that he doesn’t become morbidly obese.
