Pastor Matt and his family moved from Lexington Ohio to join Turningpoint Church as the lead pastor in March 2018. He grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, received his bachelor’s in intercultural studies from Indiana Wesleyan University, his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, served as a lead pastor at Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church in upstate New York for 4 years, and 4 years Assistant/Youth Pastor at Impact Worship Center in Mansfield Ohio. 

Matthew and his wife find joy serving in ministry together and in sharing the love of God with others; serving wherever is needed with the church family and for the community.  His roles at TPC include teaching, preaching, leading worship, pastoral care/counseling, leading the church to grow in relationship with Christ, and reaching the community with the good news of Christ’s love for us.  Matthew is passionate about missions, outreach, worship, and helping support and grow healthy marriages in the church.
