Pastor Matt joined Turningpoint Church as the lead pastor in March 2018. His roles include teaching, preaching, leading the church to grow in relationship with Christ, and reaching the community with the good news of Christ’s love for us.

He grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, received his bachelor’s in intercultural studies from Indiana Wesleyan University, his master of divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and is currently working on his doctor of ministry in transformational preaching from Wesley Seminary. Pastor Matt is passionate about missions, outreach, worship, and helping support and grow healthy marriages in the church.

When not sermonizing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys, supporting all things Chicago sports, and playing and watching golf.
