What to Expect

We want you to feel welcome!

Going to a new church for the first time can be stressful. Before you walk through the door, we want to give you a feel for what to expect at Turningpoint.

Casual Atmosphere

There is no dress code for worship. We encourage people to “come as they are”. When you come to our service, expect to see people wearing anything from blue jeans & a T-shirt to a suit and tie.

Outside of the sanctuary, you can grab a hot cup of coffee. Feel free to bring your coffee into the sanctuary while worshipping and listening to the teaching.

Friendly Faces

Before walking into the Worship Center, expect to be greeted and handed a copy of the our bulletin/program. This bulletin keeps you informed of recent/upcoming events. Feel free to use the back for note-taking!

To the left of the sanctuary is the Welcome Center. This is a great place to learn more about Turningpoint and get involved. New Here? All visitors will receive a free gift just for showing up. We hope you will stop by so we can meet you!

Engaging Worship

Our band plays songs each week to support the message for that day. This includes songs by bands such as David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Jesus Culture, Hillsong, and more. We desire to create an environment in which people can engage in worship of God.

Our goal is for children and adults to fully engage in worship in the appropriate environment. If you have children or infants, please take advantage of our Children’s Ministry & Nursery. Our KidzPoint ministry provides opportunities for children to connect, learn, and grow in a relationship with God. To learn more, visit the Children’s Ministry page.

Relevant Teaching

We believe the Gospel is the foundation for our faith: We are sinners, but God loved us so much that he sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Now we can spend eternity in heaven with God not because we have “earned” it, but because of the atonement at the cross. Each week you can expect to hear a Gospel-centered message that is both practical and relevant to our everyday lives. To learn more about our beliefs, visit the What We Believe page.
