Reaching out to those in need!
This church has had a solid presence in the community for many years and now it is expanding its reach into new areas. We are excited about providing new ways for the Turningpoint family to get involved! Below are some of the ways in which we reach out to those in need:
Panera Bread Give-away
On Wednesday’s evenings from 6-7pm we pass out free pastries and bread from Panera to anyone who would like/needs some. The bread and pastries are first come, first serve.
Turningpoint is part of the Northern Cincinnati Upward Basketball league. This league designed to create a fun, encouraging environment for kids to play sports and learn about the character of God. It also provide a way to share the Gospel with the parents and families of participants.

Matthew 25 Ministries
Matthew 25 Ministries is an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization helping the poorest of the poor locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Their Pill Bottle Collection program is a simple way for us to help provide medical supplies. Bottles that cannot be used are recycled for cash to benefit Matthew 25. We will collect the bottles at/near our Welcome Center and be dropped off at Matthew 25 in Blue Ash monthly.
Box Tops for Education
Box Tops for Education is a nationally administered program which allows schools to collect and submit box tops from hundreds of products. Each box top is worth 10 cents.
Our local Hopewell Elementary School needs your box top donations! Their box top earnings for last school year were $1,862.30.
Dress For Success
Dress For Success Cincinnati was founded in 1999 to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a support network, and the career development tools needed to help them thrive in work and life. They are currently in need of jewelry, handbags, gently used shoes, and plus-sized clothing.
International Friendships (IFI)
There are almost 4000 international students at U.C., with the top countries of origin being China, India, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia. Many of these students would love nothing more than to have an American friend and be invited to an American’s home. Currently, there are 18 students who want to sit down and talk one-on-one with someone about Jesus, and IFI is looking for people to fill in these voids and play a role in “making disciples of all nations”!
Visit the International Friendships website for more information or to sign up to volunteer.
Other Outreach Opportunities
Throughout the year, we have additional outreach opportunities to engage with the community:
- Food & Clothing Drives
- Adopting Families in Need
- Serving at Soup Kitchens
- Random Acts of Service
We want to hear from you!
We are constantly looking for ways to get more involved in connecting with and serving the local community.
