Have you ever thought of brokenness coming in the form of our busyness? God created us for rest. He created us to stop, rest, delight in Him and enjoy Him. Join us this morning as we discuss the concept of the sabbath and how Go intends to enter into our broken busyness.
Have you ever been in a place where you just felt like you couldn’t continue? Have you ever thought or said, “I’m at the end of my rope?” Despair is a very real feeling, emotion and experience. We all experience despair in various areas: career, marriage, relationships, parenting, physical, emotional, mental, etc. When we are in such a place, where do we turn for hope? What do we do? Join us this morning as we watch Jesus enter into the moment of a desperate individual and turn the despair into deliverance.
If you are human you make mistakes. If you make mistakes you will feel shame. This shame can create an avalanche of guilt in our souls that can lead us to a place of brokenness. While we are heavy laden with guilt and shame, Jesus does not run from us, but instead pursues us. His goal is not to shame us into obedience, but instead entering into our shame to redeem our brokenness. Join us today as we unpack John 4:3-30.
Let’s face reality; we are all broken. We are all cracked pots. Many of our “cracks” reveal themselves through shattered dreams, hard conversations, trying circumstances, loss of job, loss of a loved one and so much more. Despite the fact that we are all broken, we try to white wash our lives in order to give an impression that we’re “all right.” Why are we so afraid of being broken? 2 Corinthians tells us that in our weaknesses God reveals His strength. Join us this morning as we begin a new series called Brokenness. Let us stop pretending that everything is ok. Let us acknowledge our brokenness and seek His strength to be manifest in our lives.
